RAIL.ONE Selects Clinton Region

The RAIL.ONE Group, a global leader in the manufacture of concrete rail ties and system provider for rail-mounted tracks, opened its first North American location in Clinton, Iowa this spring. The factory will produce 600,000 rail ties annually for rail lines across North America.

The $22 million project brings 65 new jobs to the Greater Clinton Region.

The Union Pacific Railroad’s northern main line cuts across the region, providing ideal access to both domestic and international markets. In addition to the rail line, RAIL.ONE selected the region because of its rich natural resources, especially the efficient access to several of the area’s sand quarries that is available.

“The plant in Clinton is one of the most modern production facilities in the concrete tie industry,” said Jochem Riepl, CEO of RAIL.ONE.
