Welcome to Donna Oliver, the new President of Mercy Medical Center – Clinton. She replaces Tom Hesselmann who retired July 31 but is continuing to help with the Mercy Medical Center Foundation.

James K. Fox, External Affairs Manager of Commonweath Edison Co., met recently with Fulton City administrator, Randy Balk, and CADC President, Hugh LaMont. They reviewed programs and opportunities to assist in business expansion.

Alliant Energy and Greater Clinton County Future Foundation have been well used to acquire standard industrial classification research conducted for CADC’s west end Lincolnway Rail Port heavy industry park. The area includes Transtar and Crossroads Land Development, all with accessibility to pipelines, mainline rail service, fiber optic trunks, the airport and major utilities.

Priorities-

The Business Park Development Corporation continues to meet and discuss development of the first speculative office building in the Lyons Business and Technology Park. Several infrastructure contracts are being completed as Dennis Lauver and Hugh LaMont complete an updated marketing presentation.

Progress-

Reconstruction of Harts Mill Road from the Mill Creek Parkway to and through Manufacturing Meadows III has begun. This will result in safer and more efficient movement of goods to and through The Egging Company, UFP Technologies, Inc., Clausen Distribution Center and Nestlč PURINA, now with over 100 trucking operations daily.
