Determann Industries voluntarily increased by 50% this year’s
annual membership investment in CADC.
ü Hampshire Pet Products’ manufacturing project has received state $ NJIP approval and is moving along as scheduled.
Planning-
ü The 47th Annual Meeting will be held on December 12 at noon at the Best Western Frontier. Thanks to committee members Pete Clausen, Tom Fullerton & Brig Tubbs, William Strauss from the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago will be the keynote speaker. The economy will be his major topic.
ü Alliant Energy presented CADC with a check for $4,000 to help develop a laborshed multimedia marketing campaign.
Priorities-
ü CADC continues to follow its long-range plan for industrial land acquisition.
ü CADC joined the Illinois/Iowa Highway Partnership, local government and other groups in hosting the Iowa Department of Transportation Commissioners here on October 10 in order to get the Camanche Avenue, Phase II, included in the IDOT funding plan.
Progress-
ü CADC submitted a 160 question & answer response for a European metal building materials manufacturing prospect. Clinton is still on the “active” site short list.
ü We hosted a visit from a northern California coating manufacturer looking for a potential new site in the Midwest.
ü Thanks extended to Clinton Trees Forever members for planting 30 white pines in Manufacturing Meadows III. The trees were 4 feet tall and have added beauty and environ- mental protection to the area.
