 People-

¨      A big “thank you” to both Clausen Companies and Determann Industries for voluntarily increasing their membership investments.

¨      Welcome to Bemis Clysar!  Our conversations with the new owners at former DuPont indicate continued growth, investment and jobs.

 Planning-

¨      Invitations will be mailed soon for our 49th Annual Meeting to be held December 5th at the Best Western Frontier.  Please plan to join us as we kick off the 50th year of the Clinton Area Development Corporation.

 Priorities-

¨      CADC has completed the purchase of a critical parcel of land for the start of a new world-class west-end rail / ag industrial park.

¨      Details for the purchase of land for the Clinton Business Technology Park are being finalized.  The park will be located on the north leg of the Mill Creek Parkway.  With our partners at the Chamber and City, we intend an aggressive campaign to attract strategic new investment and quality new service industry jobs!

 

 

Progress-

¨      Congratulations to Nestlé PURINA on the completion of their new onsite 100,000 square foot distribution / expansion project!  Work is continuing on an extension of Windsor Drive to the Nestlé PURINA manufacturing plant to allow for easier access for their trucking operations and for added safety on Manufacturing Drive.

¨      Congratulations to Rock-Tenn Company as they begin use of their new press, add jobs and start construction on their 40,000 square foot expansion project.

¨      Congratulations to Clinton Community Schools for receiving a $1 million School Construction and Modernization Federal Grant to construct two new elementary schools.

¨      The area return on visits to our Congressional delegation and staff in Washington, DC has now reached over $14 million for a number of important area infrastructure projects.
